Below are a few examples from my portfolio of spaces created for clients. These are some of my favorite rooms, as they showcase the effects of texture, space and color combined to create warm and welcoming spaces, surrounded with personal touches.

Rustic Manor

The heart of this Auburn couple’s home is the family room. This main room has high ceilings, plentiful windows, and a massive stone fireplace as the focal point, which created a foundation for their design needs. The design I created for this client uses these architectural attractions to create a space that is not only functional for a large family, but also aesthetically captures a sense of magnificence, while conveying warmth through a timeworn décor. Some important elements in the room’s overall design include an entrainment armoire constructed out of battered old barn wood, antique iron gates hung on the wall to frame the central fireplace, and a sofa table accented with hand-carved mesquite wood and inlayed with jade stone and nail-heads made from vintage railroad spikes. The end result is a new home feel that is steeped in tradition, and yet utterly timeless.

Ashley takes your dreams for the look of the rooms in your home, clarifies it for you and then makes it even better. She listens to and meets your desires but challenges you to go outside your comfort zone to achieve a one-of-a-kind look. Her finished rooms just wows you and you know you won’t see this look in another home. She strives for originality within the context of the look you are trying to achieve. I think that is special.
