Our homes are the environments in which we spend the most time.  As children, our homes have lasting impacts on our lives.  From the house itself, to the furnishings, mementos, art, and even the colors on the walls, all of these details leave profound impressions on us and influence our views and actions.  Even as adults, our home environments impact our daily lives.

With the chaos of the holiday season over, it's now time to prepare for the new year.  And with a new year there can be a new beginning.  Ask yourself: is it a time to reorganize your priorities and goals for your living space?  Is it a time to make changes to your home that increase the comfort and quality of the time that you spend there?  Take a minute to study your surroundings.  Does your home make you feel the way you want to feel?  Are you comfortable inside your space?  Are you happy with what you see?  Are you inspired?  This new year I challenge you to reimagine your home.  Decide on the nostalgic feeling and impressions you want to leave on your children, your family, your guests, and most importantly, on yourself.
