Philosophy

Design is emotional. Most of us spend more time in our homes than any other place, and our spaces are witness to countless personal moments of unguarded intimacy. Why would we not arrange and decorate them in ways that complement us?

Ashley's primary goal is to present her clients with a design that matches your personality and taste. During the consultation phase, Ashley says "I will spend a lot of time talking with you about your home, about your ideas, about your family and their needs. I need to get to the root of what you like and don’t like, about the functionality of a particular space and how you want to feel when you’re inside it."  Ashley believes the best spaces, the ones that create the most positive energy, are those that achieve a perfect balance between form and function. "What good does it do a family with young children to design a most exquisite interior space, only to have the silk divan stained with grape juice a week later?"

Stylistically, Ashley’s best work mixes periods and juxtaposes contrasting textures, fabrics, and colors. There may be nothing new under the sun, but every space presents an opportunity to combine elements in a unique way whose end result is elegant and timeless.
